Moisture Separators for Air Compressors

A moisture separator removes condensed water and liquid contaminants from a compressed air stream before they reach downstream equipment, piping, or processes. By eliminating moisture, these devices prevent corrosion, equipment damage, and product contamination. High-efficiency centrifugal or coalescing separator designs - like those used in ZEKS and Gardner Denver dryers - achieve up to 99% liquid removal efficiency.

The best water separator depends on your system's pressure range, flow capacity, and application requirements. For standard industrial systems (up to 300 psig), the ZEKS HeatSink or Gardner Denver XGCY Series with 99% centrifugal moisture separation are excellent choices. For high-pressure applications up to 6,000 psig, the ZEKS High Pressure SS Series with a full stainless steel air circuit is the preferred solution.

Moisture separators are available from 10 SCFM for small shop applications up to 19,200 SCFM for large industrial facilities. Standard refrigerated moisture separators deliver a 38°F (3°C) pressure dew point, which is sufficient for most industrial applications. Select ZEKS HeatSink models also support -40°F, -80°F, and -100°F dew points for applications requiring ultra-dry air. Consistent dew point performance is maintained regardless of changes in air load or ambient temperature.

These are designed for specialized equipment and processes where standard dryers operating below 300 psig are insufficient.
